Hard drives prepared for physical data destruction
Choose the right level of destruction

Secure handling that fits the equipment and the risk.

Not every drive needs to be shredded. Some devices can be securely sanitized and reused; others should be physically destroyed. We can help determine the appropriate method for your project.

Clear or Purge for reuse

Appropriate sanitization methods can preserve equipment value while preventing access to previous data.

Destroy when required

Physical destruction is available for media that cannot or should not be reused.

Verification and reporting

Serialized reporting and certificates can be provided based on project requirements.

Questions

Data destruction FAQ

Can you provide a certificate of data destruction?

Yes. Certificates and serialized reporting are available for projects that require them. Tell us what documentation your organization needs when booking the service.

Can working computers be wiped instead of destroyed?

Often, yes. When secure sanitization is appropriate, keeping a working device intact can preserve reuse or resale value while protecting the previous owner’s information.

Do you follow NIST SP 800-88?

CPER’s data sanitization process is aligned with NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2 guidance, using Clear, Purge or Destroy methods as appropriate.
